Opel Kadett C wagon bumpers - circa 1976?

Hello,

Please excuse me for using English on your site - it's the only language I know!

I am hoping to obtain a set (front and rear) of wagon bumper bars for my Holden Gemini panelvan. I would like to get the all-chrome examples as seen on your 1975-1977 (?) Kadett Cs. I do not wish to purchase the bumpers with the rubber moulding.

Can anyone help me? They are different to Australian bumpers - our bumpers are thicker and chunkier, but I think your slimmer bumpers are much more stylish.

Hi,
you get the bumpers at this dealer ( check the link ). Just go to the website and download the zipped "Artikelliste" and search the list for "Stoßstange". Both bumpers will cost nearly 350.- DM but you`ll need 4 of the "Stoßstangenhalter" too, to fix the bumpers at your car. Good luck.

Hi Dave!

I have been to Australia in 1999 and I noticed those Geminis. I think there are some differences in the engine, gearbox and axles between Australian Gemini and European Kadett C. But the body seems to be almost the same. But maybe you need to do some mods to fit the 'Euro' bumpers properly. I agree they look better on the car than the Australian ones. It is probably a good idea to check Björn's proposal.
I tried to find some parts, especially body parts, for the car at Holden dealers, but it seemed impossible. Is it really hard to find those pieces or were those dealers just stupid or didn't want to help me?
BTW: Where exactly are you from?
And another question: I saw a car which is an Ascona B in Europe, but it was a Holden, I don't remember exactly what type. Coolest thing about it was the V8 engine. Hard stuff. The biggest stock engine you could get in Germany was a 2 litre 4 cylindre. Do you know anything about this car? Was it originally sold by Holden with this engine, maybe for racing?

Sorry for those many questions, but you hardly find Australians on german boards...;-)

Hallo Jens, kann Dir auch weiterhelfen die Dinger heißen in Australien TORONA gabs aber nur mit nem 6 zylinder und vergaser, war erst vor kurzem in Australien ( meine Eltern besuchen ) falls Du mehr infos brauchst kannst Du Dich ja melden !

Hi Roland,

Torona kann sein, genau! So irgendwas hatte ich noch im Kopf. Bist Du sicher dass da 'nur' ein Sechszylinder drin ist? Das hat sich superheftig angehört und klang verdächtig nach V8. Hab leider nie reinsehen können. Aussen waren die auch im ziemlich heftigen 'Racetrim'. Riesenspoiler auf dem Kofferdeckel, Verbreiterungen und Frontschürze. Schienen auch recht selten zu sein. In den zwei Monaten, die ich unterwegs war, habe ich nur 2 oder 3 gesehen. Ich fand die Dinger jedenfalls total cool...
